- As expected the Rockies exercised P Aaron Cook's option for $4.5M. The Rockies could still be looking to sign him longterm.
- The Rockies also passed on LaTroy Hawkins, but still could sign him as a FA.
- The Rangers signed P Joaquin Benoit on a two year deal worth $6M. He would have been eligable for free agency after '08. Smart move would be to showcase him as a closer and than trade him after this season, or half way through.
- The Braves won't be looking to hard at FA CF's and more at trade options. Coco Crisp, David DeJesus and Ken Griffey Jr. are options.
- FA P Shawn Chacon is looking to start again in '08 and will land a job somewhere with an incentive deal.
- The Twins are out of the running for Bonds. AL options still include: Devil Rays, A's, Rangers, Mariners, and Angels
- The Tigers want to bring Kenny Rogers back. For Kenny it's Detroit or retirement.
