A Couple Cubs Rumors

Starting off with Kerry Wood, who could easily get a multiyear deal worth a decent chunk of change will probably be back. There are still rumors that Wood would go somewhere else to start but he is still looking to stay with the Cubs and start if he's given the chance.

Another starter Curt Schilling could be in Chicago next season. The Cubs are on his list of teams he'd go to. I'm sure the Cubs would be interested if the price was right. One year and $12-13M or so would be a start. Hiroki Kurado is a cheaper option but it would probably take three years.

The Cubs exercised Daryl Ward's option for $1.2M, and passed on Steve Trachsel's $4.75M option.
