More on Lowell and the Red Sox

The three year deal that was believed to be offered to Mike Lowell by the BoSox, is supposidly around $12-15M a season. All of it is garunteed, but the Red Sox don't really want to add a fourth year. It isn't a final offer from the Sox, but the Red Sox seem to be fairly firm with the offer. If the Red Sox lose Lowell, than they won'e be looking for a big name replacement. Kevin Youkilis could be moved to third, or a simple Joe Crede acquisition could be made. The Yankees, Phillies and Angels have interest in a third baseman. If Lowell can't come to an agreement, then he'll probably look at one of three teams mentioned.
