Odds and Ends

Todays rumors that probably aren't worthy of their own post.
  • The Rockies are getting closer with Torrealba, but are still keeping Paul Lo Duca and Micheal Barret on their radar.
  • Matt Herges will likely make a decision on where he will play withen the next couple days. The Rockies and Brewers are said to be leading for Herges' services. He'd like to stay in Colorado, but wants a two year deal.
  • The Astros signed veteran pitcher Doug Brocail. No terms have been announced.
  • Mike Piazza may go to Japan, if he can't find somewhere in North America.
  • The Angels may try trading Gary Mathews Jr., after signing Torri Hunter. Jr. has four years left, and a good hadful of money to be paid, along with his steroid allegations.
