- The Nationals could sign Andruw Jones long term if the price is right. Say $13M a year for your new franchise player? Scott Boras may change his mind and look for a one year rebuilding type of thing for Jones.
- The Phillies think that Aaron Rowand will get four years and $52M. A fifth year may become the difference between signing him or not.
- Curt Schilling's incentives will come from random weigh-ins.
- The Red Sox appear to be asking a lot for Crisp. The Twins look like they're ready to give enough up.
- The Royals would like to add relief help. David Riske and Octovio Dotel are options.
- The Red Sox have made a three year offer to 3B Mike Lowell. The team backed off a bit when Lowell was asking for three years. It's believed Lowell could get five years on the open market.
- The Dodgers signed P Chan Ho Park. LAD won't be looking for any more starters now.
- The Giants have a vesting option for '09 in Omar Vizquel's deal.
- Garret Atkins appears to be staying with the Rockies. But Colorado doesn't look like they will be giving him a multiyear extension.
- After Torrealba, the Rockies were considering Jose Molina, Paul Lo Duca, Jason Kendall, and Ramon Castro for catcher. Micheal barret and Kendall appear to be the main targets.
- If the Rockies don't hear by Tuesday about their offers to Kaz Matsui, Matt Herges, LaTroy Hawkins, and Torrealba, they'll probably start looking at other options.
