Yankees Like Relievers

The Yankees are believed to be interested in free agent relievers Ron Mahay and Scott Linebrink. No known offers have been made.

Signing Linebrink would cost three years and $12M atleast. Not to mention their first round draft pick. Scott Linebrink would make sense for the Yankees because they have money to wash down the toilet, and could use some bullpen help. The Astros have made an offer to Linebrink, and many other teams are believed to be interested. Being a Type B, Mahay doesn't carry the risk of losing a first rounder that Linebrink would cost. Both are quality relievers and would help out the Yankees.
