Royals Like Guillen

With the Angels signing Torii Hunter, the Royals will now look at Jose Guillen as a right handed power bat. The Royals had made an opening offer of five years and $70 to Hunter, and were ready to spend a lot more. Now that he's gone, Guillen is number one for KC. Guillen wants three years and $30M, but because of steriod allegations, that number could drop a little bit. Maybe more of an incentive deal world make sense. The $70M to sign Hunter could be spent on Guillen, and a free agency pitcher. Carlos Silva and Huroki Kuroda want fouor years and $40M, so there is your $70M on a power bat and top pitcher.
