Tigers Rumors: Rogers and Silva

Scott Boras is probably one of the only people that would be inhappy with SP Kenny Rogers saying that it would either be Detroit or retirement. It's not that Boras is against Rogers signing to Detroit, it's just that he wants fair market value for Rogers. Probably in the Schilling and Maddux range of about $10M. The Mariners and Rangers could get involved on Rogers if the Tagers say no thanks.

The Tigers also have shown interest in FA SP Carlos Siva. Silva will get atleast a four year $40M deal. It hasn't been said if the Tigers have the money for both.

The other concern for the Tigers is relief pitching. Joel Zumaya is an excellent young pitcher, but has already had a ton of health problems. The Tigers have said that they still would like to bring todd Jones back. Expect one or two low level signings or trades from the Tigers.
