My earlier post of the Cubs being interested in trading for Rays LF Carl Crawford has been shot down. The Cubs had interest in Crawford but weren't set on making a serious offer yet. Crawford would make some sense with the Cubs. Although, Alfonso Soriano is a decent leadoff hitter.
Other Rays news. Al Reyes' option for '08 was picked up. $1M base salary plus another $1.3M in incentives.
