Romero Close with Phillies

The Phillies are rumored to be close to signing lefty reliever JC Romero. The deal is believed to be two years and worth around $6M. $3M a season isn't bad for a half decent reliever. I wouldn't want to see the Phillies giving Romero three years. Romero has had some health roblems in the past, but that doesn't seem to make the Phillies reconsider.

The Phillies still should be looking at a veteran starter who could be a reliever or spot starter if necessary. It's believed that Adam Eaton will not need surgery on his shoulder. It still wouldn't be a bad idea to have an extra for Cole Hamels, Brett Myers, Jamie Moyer, Kyle Kendrick, and Eaton. Cole Hamels I have faith in, but will Jamie Moyer and Brett Myers do anything?
